The Celtic Manor Resort is a golf-centric luxury hotel and leisure resort located on 1,400 scenic acres in East Newport, South Wales. The facility extends over a ridge into the rural Vale of Usk with panaoramic views up to the Westwood escarpment and consists of two conjoined hotels, The Resort Hotel and the Manor House Hotel. The Resort Hotel is a 5 star facility with 330 rooms and themed dining and the 19th century Manor House Hotel with 70 period decorated and modernized rooms are accompanied by a luxury spa, a conference center, tennis facility and access to nearby shooting, hiking, fishing, biking and equestrian facilities.

While the five star accommodations, fine dining and lavish spa provide a great respite at the end of the day, the principal attraction for traveling to the Celtic Manor is to play golf. In addition to the 6,371 yard venue designed by Colin Montgomerie to test accuracy and shot making ability, the facility features the Robert Trent Jones designed Roman Road course that has hosted the Wales Open since 2005 and the Twenty Ten Course that was specifically created to host the 2010 Ryder Cup in Wales. The championship layout, extendable to over 7,400 yards, was collaboratively designed by members of the European PGA, architects and tour pros with a mind toward maintaining a “traditional British Isle vibe.” Several nearby links style golf courses make this a true golfers’ paradise vacation.
