Pass through the gates of Mount Juliet Estate and you are in a different world. 1,500 acres of lush, rolling fields and woodland take you to Mount Juliet House, a magnificent Georgian mansion, named by the Earl of Carrick after his wife Juliet.  The Earls of Carrick remained in Mount Juliet from the 1750’s until 1914, when they sold the estate to the McCalmont family who lived there until recently. Their home set on a hill overlooking the River Nore, evokes a feeling of old fashioned graciousness … a haven of peace rarely found in today’s busy world.

Close to the house are the Rose Garden Lodges and the Hunters Yard, the original hunting stables of the old estate. Here guests are warmly welcomed to spend time relaxing or to enjoy world class sporting activities. Opened in 1991 with a match featuring golfing legends Christy O’Connor, Sr. and Jack Nicklaus, the beautiful and challenging Mount Juliet golf course has established itself as a premier golfing venue for top professionals and leisure golfers worldwide. Mount Juliet Conrad has hosted many major golfing events and welcomed the return of the world’s top 50 golfers to play in the American Express World Golf Championships in 2004, the Irish Opens of 1993, 1994 and 1995 and the Shell Wonderful World of Golf match between Fred Couples and Tom Watson in 1998. In addition to golf, Mount Juliet offers world class equestrian facilities, tennis, archery, fly fishing, hiking, bike riding, a spa and heated pool.

18 Hole Putting:

Not so much a putting practice facility, more a golfing venue in its own right, the magnificent par 53, 18 hole putting course at Mount Juliet Conrad is a real attraction to test the best golfers and provide fun and entertainment for mere mortals with putter in hand.

Each of the 18 individually contoured holes are constructed to the same high standard as those on the Jack Nicklaus course and many carry the risk of either rock-bordered lakes or feature mini-bunkers, so strategy is as important as boldness when you play this course.

The Spa is complemented by a fully equipped Health Club including a 15 metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium.

Mount Juliet Leisure Centre is situated in the Hunters Yard. Facilities include sauna, steam room, 17m indoor heated swimming pool with bubble pool and hydra water jets and waterfall. The Leisure Centre also has a fully equipped gym.
There is a wide range of classes available including aqua aerobics, step, aerobics, body conditioning swimming classes (private and group).

Mount Juliet Conrad gym also boasts the first personal kinesis wall in the south east. The physiological benefits include improved strength, improved articulatory flexibility and improved dexterity.

Equestrian:

Basic and advanced tuition, show jumping, trail riding through the grounds and cross-country jumping on the estate's own challenging course with the freedom of 1500 secluded acres to enjoy.

Unexploited for four decades, the waters of the River Nore and the Kings River with their designated beats, now deliver the sort of yield that many anglers crave.
This is game angling at its very best, with wild Atlantic salmon and brown trout angling guaranteeing an exhilarating experience for the many anglers who have discovered the estate.
